Dr. Sajid Bashir Achieves Milestone with Research Paper Acceptance
Dr. Sajid Bashir, Dean Faculty of Management and Informatics, has achieved another milestone with the acceptance of his research paper in SAGE Open, a prestigious peer-reviewed journal with an impact factor of 2.00. Dr. Bashir, a recipient of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Award for Outstanding Research in Management Sciences, is renowned for his scholarly contributions. With over 30 high-impact publications to his credit, his cumulative impact factor exceeds an impressive 100, reflecting his significant influence in the field of management research.

Dr. Sajid Bashir, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, conducted a comprehensive day-long training session titled “Winning Research Grants: Proposal Writing Excellence” on Thursday, December 19, 2024. The session was organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Sindh and brought together faculty members from universities across Sindh. The event was graced by the presence of the Chairman of Sindh HEC, who served as the Chief Guest.

Highlights of Chancellor Meeting with JTR Tajir Sarparast Shoora at GU TECH
The JTR Tajir Sarparast Shoora visited GU TECH to explore its model and programs. Chancellor Mufti Abdul Raheem outlined GU Tech’s vision, with highlights on Al Ghazali, GU TECH, and GELC. Dr. Rauf Shams Ahmed Malik and Mr. Tehsin discussed the Computer Science and Business programs, while Mr. Zeeshan from admissions shared insights. The event was informative and well-received, with many attendees interested in enrolling their children at GU TECH.
GU TECH & KPMG Sign Memorandum of Understanding
On August 16, 2024, GU TECH, Al Ghazali University School of Technology, and KPMG officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant partnership. KPMG agreed to work with Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) at Department of Computer Science to solve the digital transformation and AI related industrial problems.

Ventures with Al-Ghazali University
The President, Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Mr. Saqib Rafiq, led a delegation to meet with the Chancellor Al-Ghazali University, Mufti Abdul Raheem expressing a keen interest in collaborating to support startups and explore business opportunities. The Chancellor appreciated RCCI's initiative and highlighted the university’s commitment to contributing to the entrepreneurial ecosystem through research and practical training programs. As a gesture of gratitude, the Chancellor presented a commemorative shield to the delegation, symbolizing the start of a promising partnership that aims to bridge the gap between industry and academia.

The Chancellor Al Ghazali University visits Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce
& Industry (FPCCI), Islamabad
On May 17th, 2024, Mufti Abdul Rahim, the Chancellor Al Ghazali University, visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) in Islamabad. During his visit, he met with Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh, the President of the Chamber. The primary focus of their meeting was to explore potential collaborations between Al Ghazali University and the FPCCI, particularly through training opportunities provided by the
Al Ghazali Executive Learning Centre (GELC). Mr. Sheikh commended the Chancellor's vision for the future of higher education in Pakistan and expressed optimism that Al Ghazali University would bring about a positive transformation in society. Accompanying the Chancellor were Dr. Basharat Javed, Director GELC, and Maulana Usman Yousaf.

On May 16th, 2024 the Chancellor Al Ghazali University, Mufti Abdul Raheem, paid a visit to the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad where he had a meeting with the Chairman, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed. Various matters including revamping system of education and curriculum and role of HEC in developing youth in Pakistan, were discussed. The Chairman praised vision of AlGhazali University and expressed his gratitude to the Chancellor for the visit.
